Day 3

Well the kids have survived so far and they are well fed, happy, and somewhat hygienic!
We had movie night last night and we are having game night tonight. Last nights highlight was a video chat with momma live from Atlanta courtesy of my new favorite free online tool sightspeed
This awesome new tool has found its way into not only our personal lives but at the church as well. The built in iSight cameras on the macbook line along with this free tool and presto, free videoconferencing! I referred my friend Jeff Knight of the Rock Church to sightspeed and they had their intern team conference in from Washington DC to an event at TRC for The National Day of Prayer. We will be using this for all of our missions trips as well as frequent meetings with our teams at the National Prayer Center. Oh, and a few more momma moments as well :-)

I am very happy to hear you are using SightSpeed in your church and home. Perhaps you can share your use at the SightSpeed Forums to (hopefully) encourage others to use it in their churches as well. :)

Ken, sightspeed worked pretty decent for your vid conf w/ the interns from DC. I'll have to do some more testing but it seemed like having a group of people like we did pixelated the image with all the movement. Thanks for recommending it though. I'm glad you're back. I've been waiting for something to magically appear in my bloglines from you for a while.

Ryan,
With a lot of movement pixelation can occur due to the increased bandwidth requirements. If the bandwidth was sufficient on the sending side and receiving side you shouldn't get pixelation with more movement.

Hope that helps some.
